Devan, the Web Producer for UT:10 News, is a senior majoring in Communication with a focus on Broadcasting. She is a transfer student who moved to Toledo from Los Angeles, California, and this is her second year at The University of Toledo. This past summer Devan spent six weeks in the American Bottom covering, and participating in the University’s archaeological excavation of an ancient Native American site. She also has a passion for weather and enjoys storm chasing during storm season. She wants to work in entertainment news as a television host, or in extreme weather coverage, and dreams of someday fulfilling her dream of having her own talk show.

Cody, the Sports Producer and Show Director for UT:10 News, is a junior majoring in Communication with a focus on Broadcasting. He is the Captain of UT’s Men’s Ultimate Disc Club and is a camera operator for the media department. He intends to intern with the Toledo Mud Hens this upcoming summer to pursue his passion of sports broadcasting. He hopes to one day work for ESPN or the Cincinnati Reds as a broadcaster.

Anastasia is a senior majoring in Communication with a focus on Broadcasting. She is the Vice President of WTOL’s Full Effect Media and Full Effect Radio, and is a member of the Black Student Union. After college she plans to work in entertainment and eventually have her own TV show.

Amanda is a senior majoring in Communication with a focus on Broadcasting. Her ultimate career goal is to work in entertainment news.

Eric Burden is majoring in Communication with emphasis on Broadcasting. He enrolled in Communication program after enough strangers told him he should be on the radio.

Cody is a junior majoring in Communication with a focus in Broadcasting. He is also a part of Full Effect Radio on WXUT. In his free time he pursues his passion of making music and pushing himself as an artist by traveling and performing at shows.

Gina Marie Gass is in her senior year and will be graduating in December with dual degrees in Communication and Theater. She has interned at 13abc and is involved in many UT organizations, including Zeta Phi Eta. Her future goals are to work for a non-profit organization and hopes to one day become an anchor in San Francisco, California.

Morgan is a junior majoring in Communication with a focus on Broadcasting and minoring in Counseling. She is a nationally certified peer educator and a diabetes camp counselor for Diabetes Youth Services in the summer. When she is not working on schoolwork or at her job at Kohl’s, she is watching or playing sports and spending time with her friends and family. After college, Morgan hopes to pursue a career in broadcasting or as a social media coordinator.

Shawnice is a senior majoring in Communication with a focus on Broadcasting and minoring in Sign Language. Originally from Detroit, Michigan when she is not preparing for her next story for UT:10 News, she is working out at the Rec Center. She also enjoys traveling during the summer and during breaks from school. When she graduates, Shawnice plans to pursue a career as a reporter for CNN of NBC in Chicago, Illinois.

Courtney is a senior majoring in Communication with a concentration in Broadcasting. This fall she will be helping film for ESPN3 through another class at the University. After graduation she plans on becoming a multimedia journalist with hopes of focusing on politics or sports.

Damaris is a junior majoring in Communication and Theater. She is a member of Zeta Phi Eta, in which she won a scholarship to New York City. This is her first semester in UT:10 News but she plans to continue with UT:10 next semester so she can achieve an internship with CNN. She hopes to become an anchor for CNN and dreams of someday hosting the Oscars.

Larry is a senior majoring in Communication with a focus on Broadcasting, and minoring in Business. He has worked for the Toledo Blade and is currently working as a board operator for a local country station 107.7 The Wolf. After graduating he plans on pursuing a career in music.

Mark Wuwert

Mark is a senior majoring in Communication with a focus in Journalism. From Toledo, Ohio, he is a member of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity of America and has spent five years in the University of Toledo Rocket Marching Band Drum Line. When he graduates, he hopes to become a sports journalist and wants to cover either the Toledo Rockets, Philadelphia Eagles, or the Detroit Red Wings.
